Tandem Twin’s Animal Girls

Big news: Our site crashes IE8. Huzzah!
So, I thought this time I’d share the figure that first got me into this hobby. The first of the Tandem Twin Animal Girls line: Ruby the Lynx. An interesting series, larger than usual figures with some very nice detailing. I just happened upon a picture of this one randomly, and just had to have her. And the rest is history.
As for the Animal Girls line itself, I quickly lost interest. The next ones that were released weren’t all that interesting, and then they started bringing out hundreds of different recolorings and slight modifications, trying to pass these off as brand new figures, and I just said ‘meh’. But then a couple more came along that renewed my interest, however briefly.
Oh, also, I have photo’ed the castoffs in this one. So don’t look if you’re under 18, ‘k? (yeah right, like that’s going to stop anyone)
- Here’s Ruby! Named for her eye color. You can also see the nekomimi worked into her hair, and her stubby lynx tail.
- I wish you could see more of the detail in her face. But she’s got great detail everywhere, down to the paw-shaped hilt of her sword and carvings in the side.
- But yeah, she’s a sexy ninja. Though perhaps a bit…voluptuous for ninja’ing?
- The sword doesn’t fit in that scabbard. But who cares?
- Even from behind she’s just as lovely and well-detailed.
- Uh oh! The poor lynx must not be a very good gambler. She’s lost her shirt!
- Here’s another view…
- And here’s a full-on shot of Ruby’s goods. What more can be said? :P
- What piqued my interest in these again was the release of the two dog-girls. First, here’s Alma, she’s supposed to be a German Shepherd though it’s hard to tell.
- I can tell you those sunglasses were a pain to get on, and even more to remove again. She also comes with a cool whip.
- Just as with others in this series, she’s large and well-sculpted. The only taller figure I have seen is KOS-MOS’s swimsuit version.
- She’s got a really cool look on her face that’s sultry and intimidating at the same time.
- And even from behind, there’s no skimping on the detail at all. But it gets better…
- Here’s the other dog girl, Bonnie. A Golden Retriever.
- I think it’s easier to tell what she’s supposed to be, with her fluffy blonde hair and cuddly looks…and tongue hanging out. Even with glasses she doesn’t look too bright. ^^;
- But lovable all the same. Look at those big floppy ears! And can’t you just see that tail wagging happily?
- The polar opposite of Alma’s spiky metal look, Bonnie’s all dolled up in soft ribbons and lace.
- And excellently detailed from every angle just like the others.
- All the way down to the pawprint-like patterns in the soles of her shoes! Alma has these too but I forgot to photo them >.>
- But here’s the best part – these two were made to be paired with one another. Demure little Bonnie comes with a collar and chain leash that Alma can hold instead of her whip.
- Their tops come off too… but more important is how their opposing looks and demeanors complement each other perfectly. Yeah, I know, it’s a tired stereotype of lesbians, but it really works here.
- To wrap things up, here’s a closer shot of Topless Alma…
- And topless Bonnie. Well that’s it, please wait to exit until the ride has come to a complete stop.
So there you have it, my small collection of Animal Girls. Sadly, the series has gone right back to recolors and re-releases but maybe one day they’ll put out something new again. And when they do, you’ll probably be seeing it here.
