Shuraki 02 – Mei-Feng

Shuraki is an interesting set of figures. They’re all original characters not tied to any other media, but they’re sold with a character booklet containing pictures and some behind-the-scenes stuff, as well as a drama CD which goes through their story. And that’s the rub, I suppose – you have to buy all of them in order to hear the full story. At least they’re a little lower priced than usual figures. Not much, but a little…
Mei-Feng is easily my favorite of the series, with her lovely dress and hair, dynamic pose and unique weapons. The others… I didn’t even care about, really.
- Being a bit of the stereotypical Chinese Girl that anime likes to inject into their cast at times, Mei’s outfit is a variation on the traditional cheongsam or Chinese dress
- It really looks nice on her especially in that pose.
- I really like the fact that she looks good from almost any angle.
- Even from the back. It was really difficult to try to get in close so I kind of skipped those shots.
- That blue bow is the main ‘key’ that’s holding the rest of her outfit together.
- With her arms in the way it was also kind of hard to get a good profile shot. Believe me though, her face is super cute.
- She comes with a full secondary outfit, being a ‘battle-damaged’ version of her dress
- It still looks good on her but I prefer the undamaged version myself.
- This angle really shows you the ‘torn’ look…
- Also, let me tell you – her clothes are a B-I-T-C-H to get on and off.
- Another atempted profile
- She still looks good even without the dress.
- Oh, hey, there’s a decent shot of her face.
- This isn’t your usual ‘cast-off’ though, since it still leaves her bra and panties on.
- That hair must take a lot to get it into that style in the morning I bet.
- It looks pretty neat sweeping around her though
- She looks really cool from this angle. Like a dancer.
- One last shot…
