Death Perception – Ryogi Shiki

Ryogi Shiki is a sword-wielding demon huntress from a very dark series of books and films called Kara no Kyokai, which I highly recommend seeing. (She also appears in the latest iteration of the Melty Blood fighting game.) Apart from being fond of the character, I really liked the style of her pink kimono paired with the sword.

- She looks very feminine in that soft pink kimono, seeming vulnerable and innocent, especially with her feet bare.

- Yet in contrast she has the sword and that ultra-serious look on her face.

- There’s a rather intricate pattern of flowers in white on this kimono too, unfortunately it doesn’t show up at all on the camera.

- I love the way her sleeves billow behind her, as if we’ve caught her on her way to go slay a demon

- A closer look at her face… this angle however doesn’t convey the look very well. Hrrm.
