Chainsaw Swords and Ultra-Long Names – Mirim

Despite a rather lackluster anime series, the ever-popular Queen’s Blade has spawned a new sub-series, Queen’s Blade Rebellion, with a pair of character figures and several more books. Once again the figures are done by MegaHouse in their Excellent Model Core series, this latest offering setting the bar even higher for their already excellent sculpting coupled with a not-too-unreasonable price. I almost purchased both, but since I already had Saber Lily on order and having two steel-armor-girls seemed a little redundant, I ended up deciding on Mirim one because she’s rather unique, and very very cute. Also, valkyries are among my most favorite character types, right after ninjas.
- I just had to take this shot first, because of all the figures, games and whatnot that I’ve imported over the years, this is the first one to be pulled by Customs.
- Like all of them she has this nice display box. But who buys toys to leave them inside their boxes? Not me.
- And here she is, looking so adorable… though the pose suggests that maybe combat is not her forte.
- A close-up on that cute visage.
- From the right, she’s lookin smexy.
- A closer shot of the reason she’s called ‘vibration valkyrie’ – The chainsaw-sword. Epic.
- Another cute bust shot – profile this time
- From the side, slightly behind now. Better view of those semitransparent head-wings.
- From behind, you can see the very nice sculpting of her back-muscles, and bootay.
- A little closer in for more detail. Those buckles are also what keeps her clothing in place. And the tabs were a nightmare to push into place – I don’t think I’ll be doing her cast-off again anytime soon.
- From the left, you can see her shield also has the chainsaw-type teeth
- Closer in on the left… I love these figures that really look nice from any angle, even odd ones.
- Better view of her shield. Yeah, yeah, I know, that would be more dangerous to her than her opponents.
- One more closer shot with the shield.
- And… oops, her clothes fell off. I really love the curvy, soft aspect they gave her body…
- From the right… lookin good.
- Profile bust shot!
- Front-bust shot! Boobs! In your face!
- From the back you can see all the lovely details they put into her body.
- Another back/rump shot.
- And one last nudie profile.
